Practice
An artistic practice of paying attention to being alive.
I make art as a way of paying attention.
WHY I MAKE
I don't make art because I have everything figured out.
I make because paying attention helps me feel here.

Pamme Callie’s Manifesto
I create for inner freedom,
to grow gently into myself.
To see the world again,
with wonder.
To gift myself true experiences,
and let them become gifts for others.
To make peace with eternity—
with what stays,
and what passes.
To stay open to infinite possibilities,
to what is yet to come.
Above all,
to feel alive
making art.
I notice.
The world gives me something to look at — a colour, a person, a tree, a fragment, a strange feeling, an ordinary moment.
I stay with it.
Instead of letting it disappear, I give it time. I photograph it, write about it, sketch it, collect it, think about it.
I make something from it.
Eventually, some observations become paintings, drawings, sewn forms, objects, or other experiments.
I share it.
Because something that made me feel more alive might become meaningful to someone else too.
How I make
Making is how I stay with what I've noticed.
My materials change.
The practice remains.
I paint, draw, sew, photograph, collect and experiment — following whatever form feels right for what I am trying to hold.
Painting releases.
Stitching repairs.
Drawing records.
Collecting remembers.
I keep returning to…
Wonder
The small things that make existence feel strange and beautiful.
Being human
Our emotions, contradictions, memories, desires and attempts to make sense of living.
Sweetness & beauty
Not perfection — but finding something worth loving even within chaos, sadness or brokenness.
Fragility
Things that break, disappear, change or pass.
Time
What stays. What changes. What becomes memory.
Possibility
The feeling that life can still become something unexpected.
In a world that feels fragile and fast,
this is my way of staying present.
Perhaps a painting, a photograph, a fragment or a thought
can become a small meeting place between us —
a place to pause,
to notice,
to feel,
and perhaps, for a moment,
to feel alive.
